Epteka
Elven High Technology for 5e
Magic, with discipline. Two books for 5e, on Kickstarter from September 22, 2026.
It is difficult to control the way magic permeates objects and weapons. From this desire for control, in the workshops of the high elves of Aetheria, Epteka was born: mechanical parts that discipline the flow of the arcane and turn it into energy — captured, sealed in cells of Elenite fiber, spent with measure.
It is not steampunk, and it is not a different magic: it is the same magic, after a civilization has had a thousand years to refine it. At your table it becomes a 5e system made of choices — how much energy to burn now, and how much to keep for the scene that really matters.
How it works
The generator
Draws charges of magic out of the fabric of the arcane and channels them into an accumulator. Some are portable; some are the size of a tower.
The battery
A cylinder of Elenite fibers sealed in an armored shell. It holds the energy where you need it — and it stays an unstable object, to be handled with respect.
The catalyst
The object that spends that energy: from the plainest mechanism to a weapon, from a great construct to a masterpiece.
Charges to spend
Energy is limited, and the limit is the heart of the system: a little now for a minor effect, or all of it at once when the scene deserves it.
Harmony and Resonance
A masterpiece chooses who carries it. Whoever enters Harmony with it unlocks its Resonances: new powers that open up as you gain levels.
Plug & play
An Epteka object enters your campaign like any other magic item. No rules to rewrite, no setting to change.
The masterpieces
At the top of Epteka stand the masterpieces: unique pieces of incalculable worth, which time and stories ended up naming that way. You do not buy them and you do not build them: you find them — and then you have to be worthy of them. The preview presents two, complete and playable.
Ormon’s Vestment
Half plate, very rare. Only someone who has already died at least once can enter Harmony with it.
Demastore’s Gauntlets
One battery per gauntlet. You give up weapons and shield — from that moment on, you are the strike.
These two are in the preview. The rest come with the book.

Quick FAQ
What exactly is Epteka?
A fantasy technology system compatible with 5e: arcane energy is generated, stored in batteries and spent through objects that turn it into effects. Along with the world and the stories of the elves who built it.
What does the project include?
Two digital books. Epteka: Elven High Technology is the core — mechanics, setting, magic items and the masterpieces. Epteka: Nauteus Outpost is a short adventure that brings the technology straight to your table, in an austere elven outpost at the edge of the Underdark.
Will it break my campaign?
No, because the dial stays in the GM’s hands: an Epteka object is worth exactly as much energy as you can feed it. Even a powerful piece stays manageable if the party’s access to batteries is limited.
When does the Kickstarter start?
September 22, 2026. Follow the project on Kickstarter — the platform notifies you on day one — or leave your email above.
Do I need the other Anthemon books?
No: Epteka stands on its own and works in any setting. If you want them, though, you will find the same lands in Tales of the Dasos Forest and The Magic Mosses — one world, told one book at a time.
